Busy start to the year at Queen's Crescent!

It has been a very busy start to the new academic year at Queen's Crescent School.

It has been a very busy start to the new academic year at Queen's Crescent School.

Their 60 new Foundation Stage children have settled well into their new classrooms and are enjoying using the new outdoor play equipment that was installed over the summer holidays.

12 of the Year 6 children have already taken part and completed their Bikeability training.

The school has held a 'Ready, Steady, Cook' event organised by Chartwells, their caterers, which saw 2 members of staff and their teams creating two meals that were then voted on by the Year 4, 5, 6 children watching.  The Red team were the winners with their amazing Thai curry!  A great time was had by all!

Queen's Crescent School has also held a whole school sponsored fun run in order to raise funds to further equip their two new classrooms.  The children had a fantastic time and were amazing runners - the school is now waiting for the sponsorship money to be collected in to see how much has been raised.  A prize will be awarded to the most successful fundraiser.

24 new school councillors have been elected, 2 for each class from Y1-Y6.
