New Outdoor Play Trail Opens thanks to Amazing PTFA Support at St George's School

There were smiles all around at St George's School and Shining Stars Preschool in Bourton this week as children officially enjoyed their brand-new outdoor play trail, funded through the incredible fundraising efforts of their dedicated PTFA.

The exciting new equipment provides children with even more opportunities to be active, develop their balance and coordination, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun together during playtimes. The play trail has already become a favourite with pupils across the ages from Preschool to Year 6.

The project has only been possible thanks to the generosity and hard work of their PTFA, who have spent many hours organising fundraising events and bringing the school community together. Their commitment has created a wonderful resource that will benefit children for many years to come.

Mrs Farndale, Headteacher said:

"We are absolutely delighted to see the children enjoying the new play trail. It is wonderful to watch them challenging themselves, encouraging one another and making the most of this fantastic addition to our playground. We are incredibly grateful to our PTFA and everyone who has supported their fundraising events. Your kindness and generosity have made a real difference to the everyday experiences of our children."

The official opening was marked with great excitement as children eagerly explored the equipment, testing their climbing, balancing and agility skills. Their laughter and enthusiasm were a wonderful reminder of the positive impact that community support can have.

A huge thank you goes to the PTFA, volunteers, families and everyone who has contributed towards this fantastic project. Together, they have created an exciting outdoor space where children can play, grow and make happy memories for years to come.
